family mediation conversion training
This is a course for experienced mediators looking for accredited training in this specialist field. You will need to have a good understanding of the mediation process and to have completed a recognised accredited course such as our own foundation course or an equivalent (e.g. 5 day NOCN training course or CEDR.) If you are not sure if your current training is suitable then please contact us. Our family training is accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN) and fulfills all the requirements of the Family Mediation Council. For more details on accreditation, please see our training homepage.
What is involved?
This is a four day course split into two modules of two days each:
Module 1 looks at the emotional side of divorce, hearing the voice of the child and dealing with domestic violence etc.
Module 2 deals with property, finance and the law - the important reporting elements of Family Mediation.
The MIAMs forms will also be covered at length throughout the training.
The training is interactive, with extensive use of role plays and exercises. These are observed and assessed to provide evidence for your portfolio for the NOCN accreditation process.
For accreditation purposes you will need to do an assignment at the end of each module.
It will then be passed to the National Open College Network who will issue your certificates. Your portfolio will then be submitted for approval by our internal Verifier, and then by an external verifier.
The next available dates for family Conversion Training are:
Module 1: Either 9th-11th September or 16th - 18th September
Module 2: Either 22nd-23rd October or 29th - 30th October.
Dates will be confirmed on the basis of participants' preferences.
The cost of the 5 day course is £950 + VAT and the training is held in central Birmingham. To ensure quality, the number of delegates is limited to ten per group. For more information, or to reserve a place, please contact us.
