special educational needs mediation (SEN) is an impartial and independent support service for parents and local authorities in disagreement.

when parents or carers do not agree with the decisions or provisions made by schools or local authorities for a child’s special educational needs, a Local Authority (LA) must provide an independent disagreement resolution service to help.

our service is for;

• parents in disagreement about appropriate educational provision for your child
• local authorities needing to provide a quality assured independent disagreement resolution service in line with government requirements
• teaching staff in dispute with parents

we meet all the standards in the 2001 SEN Code of Practice and use professionally trained and experienced mediators.
