Welcome to Mediation Works


Are you involved in a dispute with your neighbours, local community, partner or spouse?

Or involved in a dispute at work? Possibly you or a relative has faced discrimination due to a disability, or you have a child requiring special educational facilities? Or you know (or are) a young person at risk of becoming homeless?

If so, Mediation Works is here to help you. We provide a range of services to assist in the resolution of disputes within the home, family, community, education and workplace, including disability discrimination, as well as providing training, mentoring and consultancy for those interested in attaining mediation skills.


The services we currently provide include:

Family Mediation

Divorce & Separation
Helping couples to make shared decisions in their children's interests or to resolve asset disputes

Special Education Needs

Independent Disagreement Resolution
Working with parents, children, schools and Local Authorities to manage SEN provision
Disability Discrimination Conciliation
Conciliating settlements where disabled people have been discriminated against unlawfully
Family Conferencing
Helping families make workable plans to resolve issues like children’s behaviour and support

Community Mediation

Around anti-social behaviour
Working with neighbours and communities in dispute and endeavouring to resolve anti-social behaviour

Inter–Generational Mediation

Young people at risk of homelessness
Supporting families and young people and managing leaving home to prevent homelessness
Workplace Mediation
Mediating a wide range of workplace disputes between peers or managers and their staff as an early and effective first step before formal grievances
Training/Mentoring/Consultancy
This includes existing and new mediation agencies, in-house or independent, and to business professionals wishing to use mediation skills in their existing roles.

Some of contracts are delivered locally, others regionally or nationally. We currently operate services in:
